Mrs. Dorothy (Bilger) Shively who lives in Laurelton, Union County has an excellent account of the descendants of Frederick Bilger Sr., the fourth son of John George Adam Bilger, from whom she is descended. Frederick Bilger married Catherine Boyer. One of their sons was Joel Bilger who married Catherine Erdlly in 1847 and they had ten children. Enos Bilger was the third son of Joel. He married Jenneta Roush in 1873 and they had twelve children. Arthur Bilger, the youngest son of Enos Bilger was the father of Dorothy Shively. Another son of Enos and Jenneta Bilger was Clayton H. Bilger, the owner of the Bilger Fuel Oil Company of Middleburg, now deceased and buried in the town cemetery in Middleburg, Snyder County. (See photographs and article below)
